He captures the world through compelling storytelling across photography, documentary filmmaking, and reportage. His work, marked by a profound appreciation for art, culture, and heritage, weaves together diverse narratives that resonate deeply.

Nicholas is also Projects & Marketing Lead at Pagesetters – Ethos Books, an independent publisher specialising in fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. With his multifaceted expertise he drives impactful content and marketing strategies and enriches the literary landscape.

Digital Media Intern

Nicholas spent six months as an intern at TODAY, a leading daily newspaper with the second highest circulation in Singapore. During his time at the Digital Desk, he produced numerous news reports, photo stories, documentary videos, and technology reviews. This experience significantly shaped his work ethic in a media landscape undergoing digital convergence.

At TODAY, Nicholas covered major stories including the Circle Line train disruption, the East Village Hotel fire, the opening of Gardens by the Bay, the collapse of the UIC Building, the NUS fire, the murder at The Arcade Collyer Quay, the Hougang by-election, the City Harvest Church case, the visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and the arrival of giant pandas Kai Kai and Jia Jia, among others.

Nicholas was recognized for his outstanding work, receiving the TODAY Photo of the Year 2013 and the TODAY Photo of the Month Award twice. One award was for his photo of a firefighter being treated for burns at the East Village Hotel fire, highlighting the efforts of the SCDF DART team. Another award was for his poignant photo of Singapore’s Ex-Prime Minister and Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, capturing the emotional response to his apparent demise.
